Dear Ed:
On January 30th my wife and I attended the NTOA meeting in Orlando, Florida. This was our second time. We attended the meeting last year and we gained so much valuable information that we decided to make it an annual event. Ed has a way of making each meeting even more interesting than the year before. There were more speakers and of course more information for the members. One thing that impressed me was that Ed was able to get more than one exchange company rep. to make a presentation. It seems that have a good working relationship with each other. The one big name that was missing was RCI. It seems that RCI doesn't think our small meeting was worth sending one of their reps to talk to us. That was fine for my wife and I because we decided a while back to let our membership with RCI expire next year since we find it almost impossible to get the exchange we want anymore with them. Since attending the NTOA meetings we have learned that we have choices of exchange companies that don't require membership fees or banking your weeks before they search for a location to exchange.
We also liked the way Ed asked people about their knowledge of their home resorts. I now know how important it is to know who the officers on the board are and to know how the funds are spent. I now read all the notices I receive from my resorts and go over the financial statements.
Another subject covered was the post card companies that prey on owners trying to sell their units. It seems a week doesn't go by that we don't get one in the mail. They all try to scare us into giving them money to take our timeshares from us with no guarantee that they will actually transfer the properties out of our names. We heard some horror stories about people who gave these companies thousands of dollars to find out that they never transferred titles like they promised. We did learn that there are honest companies out there that will list our timeshares without up front fees and are licensed to sell them.
It was refreshing to see many new faces at the meeting this year. The greater our numbers the stronger our voice in the industry. My wife and I recommend the NTOA to everyone we know that owns a timeshare. We feel that there is finally someone on our side fighting for our rights. I want to thank Ed for all of his hard work and efforts to keep the NTOA growing and keeping us informed of all the updates.

Dear Ed:
Since joining NTOA back in 2008 I have learned so much about all my options when it comes to selling, renting and exchanging my timeshare. The meetings are very informative and educational. I recently wanted to sell one of my timeshares and NTOA recommended I work with Cash Out a Timeshare who are licensed and do not charge an up front fee. I spoke with the representative who said he would give me a special commission rate after the sale since I was an NTOA member. He answered all my questions and did not pressure me to take an offer but instead gave me options. The closing of the sale went smoothly and I can’t say enough about NTOA and the services they provide to its members, especially when it comes to consumer protection and also to Cash Out a Timeshare for selling my timeshare.

Dear Ed:
Thank you, thank you, thank you! After years of losing money through my timeshare rentals, I have finally found someone who has been able to help me. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, but with Peter Emery’s professional expeditious manner my experience with the company you recommended was amazing. I had a check in my hands in two weeks.
After years of struggling to find a reputable company that I could trust to handle my rentals, I joined Maryland & National Timeshare Owners Association hoping you could help me and you certainly did.
I have been very pleased with your association and would highly recommend using you for future timeshare issues.
Best regards,
Geno A.
Dear Ed:
I want to thank you for saving me I received a post card from a timeshare resale company interested in taking my timeshare. Of course this sounded good as I was in the market to sell one of my weeks. I told a friend about the mailer and he mentioned about being a member of your timeshare organization and suggested that I call you as to your thoughts. After speaking with you I found out these types of mailers are just a come on to get you interested and then pay them a large fee for your timeshare.. I have since joined your association and with your help have been able to sell my one week. Again I can’t thank you enough for what you did for me

Dear Ed:
I was never interested in a timeshare and certainly was not going to purchase one. You were very gracious in offering my wife and I one of your weeks in Florida. After 3 days I realized how great it was to just walk into the unit with your food, clothes and find it fully furnished with all the amenities. It was just like home and more Then in addition there was an abundance of activities at the resort. I was definitely sold on timeshares and before the week was up thanks to you and your knowledge of timesharing I purchased 2 weeks. I am now a true believer in timeshares as they have so much to offer beyond a normal hotel.

Dear Ed:
After seeing your web site I became even more curious about timeshares. After speaking with you by phone I found you to be very knowledgeable on the timeshare industry. You informed me how to buy off the resale market much cheaper than from the developer.and the fact that I could trade to anywhere in the world. I decided that I would like a timeshare in Florida and you put me in touch with a resale company who had just what I wanted at a great price and the perfect location. Thanks to you my family and I are enjoying our timeshare and have also traded to other resorts throughout the world. We are in the process of purchasing more weeks at other resorts.
